Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu and check-in your hotel. Thamel area is Kathmandu’s city centre, famous for its nightlife, restaurants, and shopping. You can go to a casino or a pub at night, and you can also shop for gear for your hike to EBC.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla (Flight) to Phakding

  • Trek time – 3 to 4 hours

The EBC trek begins in Lukla, where you must take a flight or helicopter from Kathmandu. The flight to Lukla takes 30 minutes, and the Yeti Airlines ticket is the cheapest. After arriving in Lukla, continue down the trail to Phakding. Don’t forget to obtain a Khumbu Pasang rural municipality permit here on the trail paths. Stay in Phakding.
Road travel to Lukla is also possible, but it will take three extra days. Take an overnight bus from Kathmandu to Phaplu, then continue on foot to Lukla.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche bazar

This long trek will take you through forests, traditional villages, and farmland. Namche Bazar is the largest Sherpa village in the Khumbu Region and the starting point for expeditions and trekking groups. Day 4: Acclimatization day in Namche

Day 6: Deboche to Dingboche

  • Trek Time – 5 to 6 hours.

The trail is, of course, beautiful, but it is also quite difficult today. Dingboche is the highest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu Region. The views of Ama Dablam mountain from here are spectacular. Stay in Dingboche for 2 days because next day is your acclimatization day.

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorakshep (afternoon Hike to EBC)

Day 11: Pheriche to Deboche

Day 12: Deboche to Namche Bazar
