The Divine Trip To Isha Yoga Center Coimbatore

I have been keenly following Sadhguru for 5 to 6 years now and had a passionate longing to visit Isha Yoga Center Coimbatore. The dream came true in June this year with an enthralling experience, especially witnessing the 112 ft Adiyogi spectacle in front of me was the best part of it all. So here is the my divine trip to Isha Yoga center Coimbatore.

As I landed in Coimbatore on 15^th June I saw a board outside the airport with Sadhguru’s world-famous Save Soil campaign culmination date of 21^st June and was even more excited to visit IYC.  I took a cab from there and reached around 90 minutes at the center.

The entry is through Malai Vasal Gate from where you reach the Adiyogi- the largest bust sculpture in the world.

Standing amid the foothills of velliangiri with a cool breeze sweeping my face I looked at Adiyogi in complete awe. His ever peaceful face tilted towards the sky, looking towards infinity can dissolve all your worries and stress.

After spending about half an hour there I left to walk on a well-trodden path towards Dhyanlingam and Surya Kund.

A Dip in Suryakunda

Dhyanlinga is the very magnificent tall Shivalingam consecrated by Sadhguru. Before that is essential to take a dip in the Surya Kund which is a waterbody with a mercury shiv lingam inside the Kund. A dip in it rejuvenated me like never before and I was all ready to meditate in the presence of Dhyanlinga. The stone-laden path, the sculptures, and spiritual vibes along the way will enchant you like the heavens.

As I reached there, I saw the big tall Nandi sitting in front of the Dhyanlingam as in all Shiva temples across the world. I bought flowers and a lamp as an offering and entered inside.

I lighted the lamp I found myself diving into a deep meditative state in just a short while and those 10 minutes was sheer bliss. Stepping outside I was just thoughtless and felt light like a feather. I was directed by the volunteers to take the auspicious darshan of Linga Bhairvi Maa. Her energetic presence attracted me like a magnet. After her Darshan, I felt myself drenched in utmost peace and energy. It was indeed a unique mesmerizing experience to be in such a divine ambience.

Post that I visited the Isha Shoppe and bought myself some fragrant incense sticks and an adiyogi statue. It was around 5 in the evening by then and the sky till then had changed into amazing shades and colours. It was time to leave and with a heavy heart I bid goodbye to this amazing abode of Shiva and promising myself to come again. This place felt like a magnet attracting people from all walks of life. All in all it was a divine and enthralling trip to Isha and worth all the time and patience you make to reach there.

Next, I’m looking forward to completing the well-known Inner Engineering Retreat at IYC in order to begin Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya. Lets see when that becomes a reality. I wish at least once every one should pay a visit to this beautiful holy place where Lord shiva seems to himself reside . Not surprisingly Velliangiri Mountains are called Kailasha of the South.
