Day 1: Arrival in Joshimath/Tugasi Village:
First, you have to reach Rishikesh or Haridwar by train, then take a tourist bus or taxi to Joshimath. Private taxis are also available at both places. Haridwar being a holy city, its railway station is well connected to all parts of India.
If you are coming by flight, Jolly Grant airport is the nearest one, which is 20 km away from Rishikesh.

Since some people reached Haridwar late because of a delayed train, we reached Tugasi at midnight, and it was Christmas day. We celebrated Christmas with a lot of dance and music. It was a lovely night.
